Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an AV Design Specialist 3 within the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) group.

The role focuses on designing, engineering, integrating and maintaining advanced A/V systems for federal, local, and commercial customers, including videoconferencing and control solutions from Crestron, AMX and Extron. Responsibilities include leading hardware/software architecture, conducting site surveys, cost estimation, and on-site user training, with opportunities to work across multiple

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret DoD security clearance.
• Education/Experience requirements: High School Diploma with 10+ years, Associates with 8+ years, Bachelor's with 5+ years, Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience in hardware/software solutions for data center/virtual infrastructure.
• Experience with cost estimates and work breakdown structures for complex projects.
• Ability to travel up to 20% (international travel possible).

Responsibilities

• Design hardware/software framework for large resilient systems and create CAD drawings and BOMs.
• Design and test videoconferencing and integrated A/V technologies and control systems.
• Design A/V systems with Crestron, AMX and Extron.
• Conduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support including costings.
• Design/test network and telecom systems including IP networks.
• Interpret plans/specs to identify materials/equipment.
• Develop goals/plans to organize work.
• Develop test plans for AV control systems and conduct on-site training.
