M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an AV Design Specialist 4 to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit in Tysons, VA. You will design and integrate electronic security and AV systems for federal, local and commercial customers, with a focus on high-availability architectures.

The role requires experience in AV hardware/software, design/testing of videoconferencing, Crestron/AMX/Extron systems, cost estimation, and customer scoping, with up to 20% travel and potential DoD clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with extensive electronics/install experience, or higher education.
• Bachelor's degree with significant project experience or Master's with progressive responsibility.
• Demonstrated cross-team collaboration and leadership in multidisciplinary settings.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20% and read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and software framework for large resilient AV systems.
• Create drawing packages and BOMs in CAD and lead cost estimation.
• Test and design videoconferencing and integrated AV technologies.
• Develop test plans for AV control systems and conduct on-site training.
• Provide sales engineering support and gather detailed requirements.
