Job summary

M.C. Dean in Tysons, VA is seeking an AV Design Specialist 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security and AV systems for federal, local, and commercial customers.

The role requires extensive experience with Crestron/AMX/Extron, CAD drawings, cost estimation, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Occasional travel may be needed, with a focus on complex projects.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret DoD clearance.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting and testing electronic security/AV systems.
• Strong design and cost-estimating capabilities for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and software framework for large, resilient AV/security systems.
• Create drawing packages and BOMs in CAD; develop architecture solutions.
• Design videoconferencing, AMX/Crestron/Extron control systems.
• Conduct site surveys, gather requirements, and provide project cost estimates.
• Develop test plans for AV control systems and perform on-site training.
