Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc is seeking an AV Design Specialist 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit in Tysons, VA. You will design, test, and implement AV systems, including videoconferencing and control systems, for federal and commercial clients.

Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet performance and security requirements. A Top Secret DoD clearance or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Clearance/citizen requirement to access classified information; Top Secret DoD clearance eligible.
• Bachelor's/Associate/Master's degree with exposure to data centers and virtual infrastructure.
• Experience with hardware/software solutions for AV/IT and cost estimating for complex projects.
• Experience reading blueprints and developing architectural/electrical plans.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with executives.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and software framework for large AV systems and create BOMs.
• Test and integrate videoconferencing and AV technologies (Crestron, AMX, Extron).
• Develop test plans for AV control systems and on-site training for installed systems.
• Perform site surveys, gather requirements, and provide cost estimates for AV projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and support sales engineering efforts.
