Job summary
Advantage Technical in Westminster, MD is seeking a hands-on Senior Industrial Automation & Process Engineer to lead automation initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will design, implement, and optimize robotic systems, PLC controls, and automation equipment to convert manual processes into efficient workflows.
Leading a team of Process Engineers and Setup Technicians, you will manage projects from concept to implementation, collaborating with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 8+ years in industrial automation.
- Hands-on hardware and software in robotics, PLCs, and sensors.
- Experience leading engineers and technicians.
- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing automation projects and process engineering initiatives.
- Design, implement, and optimize automation systems and robotic applications.
- Manage projects from concept through implementation including schedules and budgets.
- Mentor process engineers and setup technicians.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D.
- Troubleshoot issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Analyze production data to drive quality, safety, and cost improvements.
