Job summary

Experis Technology Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II / Senior Automation Engineer to support Manufacturing Operations and automation initiatives in Wilmington, MA. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment or controls engineering projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley and Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with FANUC robotics, motion control, machine vision, and industrial automation technologies.
• Proven ability to improve equipment reliability via troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, commissioning, startup, and SAT of automated production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automated systems including PLCs, robotics, motion control, and machine vision.
• Drive equipment reliability, uptime, and OEE through preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with vendors and integration partners to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
