Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in El Paso, TX, is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and optimize material handling systems in our fulfillment centers. You will lead cross-functional teams, troubleshoot PLC/SCADA, and mentor junior engineers while implementing innovative projects.

You will work with Siemens/Allen-Bradley ladder logic, SCADA, and state-of-the-art conveyors and sortation to sustain high throughput and Amazon's trusted service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/automation or 4+ years PLC automation experience.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends.
• 4+ years PLC automation in process or production environments.
• 4+ years robotics work cells and control systems experience.
• 4+ years ladder logic with Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Codesys.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and mentor on automation issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Operations, FC Start-up, software teams to optimize MHE.
• Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems (PLC, networks).
• Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance across operations.
• Provide escalation support during/after hours to repair hardware/software.
