Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team at a modern warehouse facility in Stockton, CA. You will troubleshoot, program and maintain MHE control systems, PLCs, HMIs and VFDs, and partner with operations to improve equipment reliability and safety.

You will lead or assist technicians, coordinate technology installations with vendors, and ensure uptime while following strict safety procedures in a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in programming/commissioning HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Experience with SCADA systems, KPIs, and interpreting electrical drawings.
• Experience supporting conveyors and sortation systems.
• Knowledge of electrical/control components (relays, motor starters, HMIs, VFDs).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following procedures.
• Maintain material handling control systems and electrical distribution.
• Troubleshoot and modify software for PLC/PC controllers (Rockwell).
• Escalate downtime to vendors or network support when needed.
• Apply expertise to maximize building utilization of systems.
• Monitor MHE metrics and coordinate with mechatronics technicians.
• Plan and coordinate new technology installations with vendors.
• Communicate project timelines to leadership and operations.
