Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer at the Dorado, PR site to support the maintenance team in optimizing material handling equipment control systems. You will work with conveyors, sortation, scanners, and HMI/PLC platforms to improve reliability and performance.

This role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, safe operations, cross-functional collaboration with operations and vendors, and driving continuous improvement on capital projects in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in programming/commissioning HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs, SCADA systems and KPIs
• Interpreting and modifying mechanical and electrical drawings
• Supporting conveyors and sortation systems

Responsibilities

• Promote safe operations by following procedures
• Maintain material handling control systems and electrical distribution
• Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems
• Escalate downtime to vendors or network support teams
• Assist with capital projects as technical consultant
• Communicate timelines with leadership and operations
