Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the Automation Engineering team at a facility. You will maintain control systems, schedule tasks, and design efficient operation methods for conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, and SCADA devices.

Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, collaborating across departments for optimization, troubleshooting electrical and control systems, and analyzing performance metrics to drive reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment.
• Proficiency in programming software such as RSLogix5000 Studio and FT View.
• Knowledge of robotics work cells and control systems; experience with HMIs and networks.
• Proven leadership in technical roles and ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and mentor Automation Engineers to meet facility goals.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Safety and other departments.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize control systems and networks.
• Monitor MHE metrics and drive performance improvements.
• Provide escalation support and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Lead process improvements and capital project support within building.
