Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to be part of their Energy and Resources Team across North America. This full-time position involves evaluating and designing instrumentation and control systems for projects in sectors like Mining, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Renewable Energy. You will also be responsible for maintaining safety regulations, developing project deliverables, and leading coordination meetings.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience and a degree in engineering. This position offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision plans, and a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy-industry sectors such as Oil & Gas, Thermal and Hydro-Power Generation, Mining, etc.
• PE licensed in Texas or Arizona, or commitment to acquire a license.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrumentation and controls deliverables like datasheets and calculations.
• Conduct calculations, QC, field work, and support domestic and international assignments.
• Lead project coordination meetings and assist project leads in managing scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
