Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer for a manufacturing facility in the southwest Atlanta metro area. The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems to enhance safety, efficiency and uptime.

You will work in an Allen-Bradley PLC environment across stamping, zinc die casting, plating/finishing, and assembly processes. A strong emphasis on project leadership, documentation, and safety compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience.
• Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but consider 2+ years with related competencies.
• Experience in Allen-Bradley PLC environments and PLC/HMI programming.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve controls systems across manufacturing lines.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment from 24V to 480V circuits.
• Lead and support manufacturing projects from initiation through completion.
• Prepare technical reports and FAT-related documentation.
• Ensure safety compliance per OHSA and internal standards.
