Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join a multi-disciplined project team. You will design PLC-based control systems, SIS, and related automation platforms, while developing specifications and media for system procurement and implementation.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in industrial facilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel to client sites as needed. ABET-approved degree and clearance eligibility are required.

Competenze

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain US Government security clearance.
• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering; MS degree preferred.
• 12+ years experience in instrumentation and controls or automation engineering.
• Experience interfacing with craft for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Experience designing, programming, documenting, and testing automated machinery or processes at industrial facilities.
• Industrial communication design experience (Ethernet/IP preferred; Modbus/Profibus a plus).
• Producing P&IDs, control narratives, IO lists, CAE/Logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, FAT procedures, and software docs.

Mansioni

• Work on PLC-based control systems and SIS for industrial facilities.
• Prepare specifications and design media for software, instrumentation, and control system procurement/implementation.
• Mentor colleagues and participate in Automation Lab training to grow skills.
• Engage in peer learning through S&L's Communities of Practice.
• Travel to client offices and project sites as required.
