Job summary

Progressive Insurance seeks a senior claims specialist in California to resolve injury claims, including high-risk or attorney-represented cases. You will gather evidence, assess coverage and liability, and determine claim value with input from police and medical professionals.

The role is hybrid, requiring about four days per month in the office for meetings, training, and collaboration; in-office work is welcome more than four days a month if preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling.
• Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree.
• Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex and high-risk injury claims, which may be attorney represented or involve additional litigation features.
• Consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants and others involved in the accident to gather information.
• Determine coverage, liability and the total value of the claim based on collected information.
• This is a hybrid role; report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training and collaboration.
