Job summary

Progressive is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist in California with a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves investigating high-risk injury claims, consulting with police, medical professionals, claimants, and others to determine coverage, liability and claim value.

The position supports collaboration with teams and offers in-office meetings about four days per month, with optional additional in-office time.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling OR
• Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR
• Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex and high-risk claims, including attorney-represented cases or those with litigation features.
• Consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants and others involved to gather information for determining coverage, liability and claim value.
