Job summary

Progressive is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join our California team. Based in Pasadena, this hybrid role combines field investigation, collaboration with police, medical professionals, claimants, and litigation colleagues to assess coverage, liability, and the total value of injury claims.

You’ll report to the office about four days per month for meetings and training, with coaching from a supportive team. Strong negotiation, organization, and discovery skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling OR
• Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR
• Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Investigating complex and high-risk claims – may be attorney represented or have additional litigation features – consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants and others involved in the accident.
• The information gathered will be used to determine coverage, liability and the total value of the claim.
• Hybrid role with four days per month in the office for meetings, training and collaboration, plus coaching from a supportive team.
• If you prefer an in-office environment, you may work in the office more than four days per month.
