Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Manager to lead audit engagements and mentor staff in our Detroit-area office. The role focuses on supervising teams, ensuring quality engagement outcomes, and strengthening client relationships while contributing to firm profitability.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in public accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and CPA credentials are strongly preferred. Willingness to travel domestically and work varied hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; advanced degree a plus.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• 5-8 years of public accounting experience or an equivalent balance of education and work experience.
• Demonstrate expert understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage client engagements including planning, staffing, timing and technical issues.
• Oversee engagement completion with minimal oversight.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
• Mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants and Staff; guide professional development.
• Perform annual performance evaluations and manage staff conversations.
• Assist Principals/Partners in new client development.
• Enhance firm value through high-quality client service.
