Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Manager to join our fast-growing firm in a role that combines leadership of tax and audit engagements with mentoring junior staff and developing client relationships. The Manager will oversee planning, staffing, and issue resolution with minimal supervision, while contributing to firm growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, 5-8 years in public accounting, strong technical expertise in accounting and tax, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA license required.
• Expert understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and strong professional judgement.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize a fast-paced workload.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements including planning, staffing, timing, and issue resolution with minimal supervision.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
• Supervise and mentor staff; provide professional development guidance.
• Perform annual staff performance evaluations and manage conduct discussions.
• Support Principals/Partners in identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Develop high-value opportunities from technical knowledge for clients.
• Represent the firm at conferences and contribute to publications and trainings.
• Strengthen client relationships and promote the Novogradac brand.
