Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP in the United States seeks a Senior Accountant to manage audit and attest assignments, mentoring Staff, and strengthening client relationships. The role emphasizes independent problem solving and profitability within the firm’s Tax/Audit practice.

The Senior Accountant will spend most time on audit engagements, developing technical audit expertise and contributing to engagement management. CPA readiness is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 2–3 years in public accounting.
• Ability to sit for the CPA exam or having CPA sections passed is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete audit and/or attest projects for designated clients with minimal oversight.
• Conduct engagement reviews and manage engagements.
• Develop and mentor Staff Accountants and supervise team.
• Identify and propose solutions to potential problem areas during engagements.
• Maintain client relationships with professionalism and service orientation.
• Travel domestically as required and work evenings/weekends as needed.
