Job summary

Sorren is seeking a senior Assurance Engagement Lead in the United States to supervise planning, execution, and delivery of complex audits across diverse industries. You will act as a technical expert in GAAP/GAAS, guiding internal teams and clients on revenue recognition, leases, consolidations, and other standards.

The role requires 8+ years of assurance experience, CPA, and strong leadership to manage multi-level teams, review client deliverables, and contribute to continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in assurance-related work.
• CPA license and Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Deep technical expertise in GAAP, GAAS, and other standards; able to interpret evolving guidance.
• Proven track record leading large-scale, high-risk engagements from planning through delivery.
• Strong proficiency with assurance technology platforms and data analytics to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the firm’s most complex assurance engagements across diverse industries.
• Serve as a technical expert in GAAP, GAAS, and other regulatory standards, guiding teams and clients.
• Develop and oversee engagement strategies aligned with client objectives and risk considerations.
• Review and approve engagement budgets while maintaining high-quality client service.
• Drive improvements in audit methodology, planning, and execution with new tech and best practices.
• Supervise and coach managers and associates, fostering accountability and technical excellence.
• Lead performance management, reviews, and succession planning for team members.
• Review and approve client deliverables including financial statements and internal controls communications.
