Sorren is seeking an experienced assurance leader to guide the planning, execution, and delivery of complex audits and reviews across industries. You will serve as a GAAP/GAAS technical SME, drive engagement strategies, budgets, and quality while mentoring multi-level teams.

Qualifications include CPA, 8+ years in assurance, and a strong track record leading large engagements; expect active client advisory, risk management, and business development. On-site in Oregon with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in assurance-related work.
• CPA license and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Deep technical expertise in GAAP, GAAS and related financial reporting.
• Proven track record leading large-scale, high-risk engagements.
• Advanced proficiency with assurance tech platforms and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex, high-risk assurance engagements.
• Serve as a GAAP/GAAS technical expert to internal teams and clients.
• Develop and oversee engagement strategies aligned with client goals and risk.
• Review budgets and ensure targets, quality, and resource use.
• Drive audit methodology improvements and use of new technologies.
• Supervise and coach managers and associates; support career development.
• Lead performance management and succession planning.
• Review client deliverables for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Act as strategic advisor to clients on audit results and decisions.
• Proactively manage engagement risks and escalate when needed.
• Cultivate trusted advisor relationships with key clients.
• Participate in business development, pricing, and client meetings.
• Champion firm values and contribute to inclusive culture.
• Stay current with regulatory developments; engage in thought leadership.
• Demonstrate strong time and project management across multiple engagements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by firm leadership.
• Meet annual billable hour targets and team productivity.
