Vetcove is seeking an Associate General Counsel to build legal infrastructure for a rapidly expanding technology company serving veterinary care. You will partner with leadership on commercial contracting, product counsel, regulatory analysis, privacy, data security, IP, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of legal experience, including experience at a top-tier law firm.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Strong commercial contracting experience, particularly with SaaS, technology, enterprise customers, MSAs, SOWs, order forms, DPAs, vendor agreements, and related commercial agreements.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Very strong work ethic and desire to dive deeply into the business.
• Experience advising high-growth technology companies, SaaS businesses, regulated businesses, or enterprise software companies.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new and evolving regulatory frameworks, and translating them into practical guidance for the business team.
• A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset and a strong desire to solve problems rather than simply identify them.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements including SaaS contracts, MSAs, SOWs, order forms, NDAs, DPAs, vendor agreements, distribution agreements, partnership agreements, and other strategic commercial contracts.
• Partner closely with business leadership, product, operations, and finance to support enterprise deals and strategic initiatives.
• Advise on product development and product launches, including identifying legal risks and developing practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Develop expertise in new and evolving legal areas relevant to Vetcove’s business, including telecommunications, consumer protection, privacy, FDA, DEA, veterinary practice laws, pharmacy laws, ecommerce, marketplace regulation, and related compliance frameworks.
• Help translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical guidance for product, engineering, operations, and business teams.
• Support strategic growth initiatives, including new products, new markets, new commercial models, and new regulated workflows.
