Veeam is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial to join our global legal team. This remote role focuses on supporting the company’s worldwide sales organization, negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, and advising stakeholders with pragmatic, business-minded legal guidance.

The ideal candidate has extensive post-qualification experience, especially in tech contracts, and excels at balancing risk with commercial objectives in a fast-paced software environment.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or in-house.
• Strong background in software, SaaS, cloud tech or tech company contracts.
• Proven ability to advise business stakeholders in a practical, commercially focused manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead review, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements (SaaS, BaaS, software, services, channel, NDAs).
• Provide pragmatic legal advice to Sales and stakeholders, managing regulatory, privacy and commercial risks.
• Develop and improve templates, playbooks, processes; deliver training on contracting principles.
• Collaborate with Legal department to maintain a high-performing team culture.
