Job summary

Amrize in North America is seeking a Paving Operator for our Asphalt division. You will safely operate asphalt paving equipment to place, level, and finish pavement according to project specifications.

You will monitor mat thickness and asphalt flow and coordinate with the paving crew on highway projects. We expect a High school diploma with 3+ years of field experience, the ability to read project plans, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt paving equipment on highway or large-scale projects.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, grades, and layout markings.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, mat thickness, and compaction.
• Commitment to job site safety and OSHA protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate pavers, rollers, and related paving machinery to achieve smooth asphalt surfaces.
• Monitor mat thickness, asphalt flow, and compaction.
• Read and interpret project plans, grades, and layout markings accurately.
• Coordinate with crew members to optimize production flow.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
