Amrize in the United States is hiring a Transfer Machine Operator in our Asphalt division. You will move hot mix asphalt from trucks to pavers, monitor flow, and ensure a safe, efficient paving process.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 2 years operating transfer machines on commercial/highway projects, plus willingness to travel daily. We offer competitive benefits and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years operating asphalt transfer machines on commercial or highway projects.
• Daily travel required; must have reliable transportation.
• Strong understanding of hot mix asphalt handling, material flow, and distribution techniques.
• Ability to read and follow project plans, paving layouts, and job specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt transfer machines to move and distribute hot mix asphalt from trucks to pavers efficiently and safely.
• Monitor and control material flow to ensure consistent supply to the paving operation.
• Adjust machine settings and conveyor speed to maintain proper asphalt placement and minimize material loss.
• Coordinate with truck drivers, paver operators, and crew members to maintain smooth workflow.
• Perform daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor troubleshooting on transfer equipment.
• Identify and report any mechanical issues or operational concerns to supervisors promptly.
