Job summary

Ware Malcomb is seeking a Technical Specifications Writer to develop project manuals for Architecture and Interior Design projects. You will collaborate with project teams to prepare specifications, client masters, and support submittal review, shaping quality and consistency firmwide.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in construction materials, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MasterSpec, Bluebeam, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design required or preferred.
• Extensive experience in construction and construction materials; 15+ years in Architecture/Interior Design with at least 5 years writing specifications preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Experience with MasterSpec, Bluebeam, Word and Excel preferred.
• Public speaking in front of groups is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive project manuals based on information from Management Teams.
• Develop specifications and client-specific masters; support submittal review.
• Review comments with Management Team and address questions or concerns.
• Mentor junior staff and stay updated on products and industry standards.
