Ware Malcomb, a forward-thinking design firm, seeks a Technical Specifications Writer to develop comprehensive project manuals for Architecture and Interior Design projects. You will collaborate with project teams to craft specifications, client masters, and submittal reviews, shaping quality and consistency across the firm.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design, 15 years in the field with 5 years writing specs, strong written and verbal skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred.
• 15+ years in Architecture or Interior Design with at least 5 years writing specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Extensive experience with construction materials and industry standards.
• Experience with MasterSpec, Bluebeam, Word and Excel is preferred.
• Public speaking in front of groups is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive project manuals based on information from Management Teams.
• Suggest alternate solutions when necessary.
• Schedule periodic reviews for complex projects during document development.
• Review comments with Management Team and respond to questions.
• Mentor junior staff members and stay current on product trends and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and be a resource for the company.
