Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Specification Writer to guide design teams on product selection, prepare and edit construction specifications, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants through all project phases, stay current on building technologies, and support procurement and project manual preparation. A background in architecture/construction and CSI CDT/MasterFormat experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six years of related architectural or commercial interiors experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of increased responsibility in writing, editing, and developing AIA MasterFormat - 3 part specifications.
• CSI membership; CDT certification is a plus; CCS, LEED AP, or a licensed Architect or Engineer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support specification project management and resolve technical and administrative issues.
• Guide design firms on product selection and design considerations.
• Write and edit project specifications and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants throughout all project phases.
• Prepare construction specifications for various milestones.
