Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks an experienced Specification Writer to join the Southwest Facilities team in San Antonio, TX. You will guide design teams on product selection, write and edit construction specifications, and ensure code compliance across all project phases.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants, stay current on building technologies, review submittals, and support project teams to meet deadlines with a high level of technical precision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Science or related field preferred.
• 6 years of related architectural or commercial interiors experience; 3 years in writing, editing AIA MasterFormat specifications.

Responsibilities

• Guide design teams on product selection and prepare/edit construction specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and consultants through all project phases.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements; prepare procurement and contracting specs.
