Job summary

Larson Design Group in Pittsburgh seeks a Senior Architectural Designer to apply advanced architectural principles, complete design computations, prepare technical reports, and draft plans and details. This role largely works autonomously with supervisor-approved decisions.

You will write specifications, coordinate comprehensive drawing sets, and contribute to QA/QC processes to improve deliverables and reduce errors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field is required or preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in architecture and drafting.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Photoshop and MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Writes specifications, reviews submittals, and coordinates project submissions.
• Coordinates preparation of multi-discipline drawing sets with staff and consultants.
• Supports QA/QC processes to improve deliverable quality and reduce errors.
• Reviews and coordinates work of other staff prior to submission.
• Researches code compliance requirements for projects.
• Independently creates standard details under supervisor guidance.
• Assists with design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates.
