Job summary

Larson Design Group, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, seeks a Senior Architectural Designer to apply advanced architectural principles, complete design computations, and prepare technical reports and plans. The role emphasizes autonomous work and significant project decisions with managerial oversight.

You will lead multi-discipline drawing sets, support QA/QC, and collaborate with staff to meet project deadlines, applying strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of ten years' experience in architecture and drafting.
• Licensure/certification: not required (n/a).

Responsibilities

• Writes specifications, reviews submittals, and coordinates project submission.
• Coordinates the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets with staff.
• Promotes QA/QC to improve deliverable quality and reduce errors.
• Reviews and coordinates other staff work prior to submission.
• Researches and understands code compliance requirements.
• Independently creates standard details under supervisor guidance.
• Assists with and performs design calculations, quantities, specs, and cost estimates.
