Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Architect with pharmaceutical and life sciences experience to lead design for cGMP manufacturing suites, laboratories, and related facilities across multiple U.S. locations.

You will guide project teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and integrate architectural and engineering disciplines in a design-build environment. You will mentor staff, apply current GMP regulations and industry standards, and participate in client discussions from concept through delivery while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Active Registered Architect (RA) license in the U.S.
• 10+ years of architectural experience in pharma/biotech/life sciences facilities.
• Proven leadership in design-teams within a design-build delivery model.
• Deep knowledge of cGMP, ISPE Baseline Guides, and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design for complex pharmaceutical and life sciences projects including cGMP suites.
• Provide technical leadership and oversee project teams to produce coordinated construction documents.
• Collaborate with process engineers, validation teams, and QA/CQ in a design-build environment.
• Interpret IBC, NFPA, and ADA/ABA codes for lab and production facilities.
• Mentor junior staff and stay updated on GMP regulations and new technologies.
• Conduct site visits to verify conformance and resolve issues.
