Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Senior Architect to shape pharmaceutical and life sciences facilities, impacting product quality and patient safety. You will apply deep GMP knowledge, code interpretation, and project leadership to drive compliant designs across complex campuses.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with engineers and QA/CQ teams, and advance cleanroom and controlled environment design within a design‑build framework. The role emphasizes regulatory alignment and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program and RA license.
• 10+ years of architectural experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences facilities.
• Deep understanding of cGMP regulations and applicable codes and standards.
• Proficiency in BIM tools (Revit) and related design software; strong leadership and client-facing skills.
• Experience guiding internal design teams through all project phases in a design‑build environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and planning for pharmaceutical and life sciences projects, including cGMP suites, labs, QC/QA spaces, and related facilities.
• Provide technical leadership to architectural teams, ensuring compliant construction documents and adherence to GMP and regulatory guidance.
• Collaborate with process engineers, validation teams, and commissioning to ensure design integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Interpret building codes (IBC, IEBC, IFC, NFPA, ADA/ABA) for multiple project phases and provide authoritative guidance.
• Lead peer reviews, QA/QC, and constructability reviews focused on GMP, cleanroom integrity, and contamination control.
• Mentor junior staff and stay current with GMP trends, modular construction, and advanced manufacturing concepts.
