Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Architect with deep experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences facilities in Scottsdale, AZ. The role focuses on leading design for cGMP manufacturing suites, laboratories, and related spaces, ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent constructability within a design-build context.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
Active Registered Architect (RA) license in good standing within the U.S.
10+ years of architectural experience focused on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences facilities.
Experience leading design teams through all project phases in a design-build environment.
Strong knowledge of IBC, NFPA, ADA/ABA codes for labs and GMP environments.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and planning for complex pharmaceutical and life sciences projects.
Provide technical leadership and oversee internal architectural teams to ensure high-quality construction documents.
Interpret building codes and GMP regulations and apply them to project work.
Mentor junior architects and maintain GMP standards across projects.
