Job summary

Prime Data Centers seeks a Senior Architect to own architectural scope from concept to construction across hyperscale campuses in the U.S. and Europe. This hands-on role covers building shell, life safety, code compliance, and space planning.

Researchers must apply jurisdiction-specific codes and coordinate with MEP/Structural teams while advancing standardization across projects. Independent work, clear communication, and data center experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of architectural experience in data centers or large-scale facilities.
• Licensed Architect (RA) preferred; NCARB a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, NFPA, ADA and multiple U.S. jurisdictions.
• Experience with entitlement, permitting, and AHJ coordination.
• Ability to work independently with strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience across international markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and review for building shell, life safety, and space planning.
• Research jurisdiction-specific code and entitlement requirements.
• Resolve complex architectural problems with AHJ coordination and MEP interfaces.
• Balance speed, risk, cost, and quality in architectural decisions.
• Define and evolve architectural design standards and prototype layouts.
• Collaborate with Design, Structural, Civil, MEP, Construction, and Operations.
• Support site selection and due diligence with zoning, entitlement, and code-risk assessment.
• Communicate tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Oversee third-party architectural consultant management.
