Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Architectural SME for Data Centers to provide technical leadership across the U.S. data center portfolio. The role blends architecture expertise with client-facing leadership, guiding design strategy, delivery excellence, and technical differentiation on mission-critical programs.

The position offers nationwide availability with a hybrid work model and requires extensive experience in hyperscale/data center environments, modular design, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 20+ years of architectural design experience, with 15+ years in mission-critical/data center environments.
• Licensed Architect (RA) with knowledge of building codes, ADA, and sustainability frameworks.
• Strong site planning, envelope design, modular construction, and BIM coordination.
• Proven record of technical innovation addressing client challenges.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across multiple data center programs.
• Guide design quality and ensure Jacobs architectural standards.
• Lead site and building design, promote modularization and sustainable systems.
• Coordinate architectural with structural and MEP disciplines.
• Represent Jacobs in client engagements and industry forums.
• Support design reviews, QA, and construction administration.
