ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant, Archaeologist to lead cultural resources projects from our US offices. You will guide multi-state investigations, mentor staff, and support client relationships and business development.

The role blends technical leadership with project delivery across energy and infrastructure sectors, requiring field oversight, regulatory reporting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Occasional travel to field sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6–8 years of related paid experience.
• Secretary of the Interior-qualified archaeologist with RPA and SHPO alignment.
• Field oversight for inventory, survey, testing, and data recovery.
• Experience as author/reviewer on agency-reviewed technical reports.

Responsabilités

• Provide QA/QC review of deliverables produced by archaeologists.
• Oversee desktop studies and field investigations including surveys and testing.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor archaeologists; participate in hiring and training.
• Coordinate with unit leads and partners to support performance and delivery.
• Sign as PI or Task Manager for cultural resources studies on major projects.
