Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant, Archaeologist to lead complex cultural resources projects from a US office. The role combines technical leadership, project oversight, and business development across the United States.

You will mentor archaeologists, manage field teams, ensure regulatory deliverables, and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts in energy and infrastructure sectors. Travel to field sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
• 6–8 years of related paid experience.
• RPA certification with SHPO qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a permitted BLM Principal Investigator and lead cultural resources studies.
• Obtain BLM permits and other necessary authorizations for projects.
• Provide QA/QC of deliverables and supervise field teams.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and support hiring and mentoring.
• Collaborate with clients and regulators to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
