Qualifications

• 6–10 years of progressive experience in Application Support, Production Support Engineering, Systems Analysis, or Enterprise IT Operations.
• Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical production environments (Financial Services / Enterprise Banking domain preferred).
• Hands-on experience navigating, administering, and troubleshooting Linux/Unix environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server architectures and enterprise tooling.
• Strong SQL querying, data analysis, and schema comprehension.
• Experience with Oracle, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server relational DBMS.
• Scripting languages experience.
• Experience with incident tracking, real-time system monitoring, and ticketing/incident workflows (RTIS, ServiceNow, Jira).
• Ability to manage day-to-day operational support, shift handovers, and incident command during outages.
• Coaching, advising, and upskilling junior/mid-level analysts, with task delegation and QA.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple tech teams to integrate functions and propose system enhancements.
• Provide expert level apps support knowledge across the team.
• Define system scope and objectives for complex enhancements and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Analysts to determine system impacts and support needs.
• Assess technology implications for the current environment and identify risks.
• Coach and guide junior analysts and manage workload distribution.
• Deliver in-depth analysis and develop innovative solutions.
• Influence strategic decisions through clear communication and diplomacy.
• Ensure risk and compliance considerations are integrated in decisions.
