Job summary

Juniper Square is seeking Applied AI Engineers to own delivery end-to-end—from understanding problems with stakeholders to deploying and operating AI-native agents. You will work closely with platform, R&D, and product engineering teams to design scalable, agentic systems and drive adoption across users.

The role emphasizes hands-on full-stack engineering, architectural judgment, and translating business needs into reliable software. Remote-friendly with hybrid options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping production software end to end with AI/agents
• Strong systems design skills including architectural thinking and trade-offs
• Full-stack engineering across data, services, UI, and infrastructure
• Hands-on ownership of deployments on a major cloud provider; containers, IaC, CI/CD, monitoring
• Fluency with AI-assisted development and ability to debug and defend shipped work
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into requirements and deliver
• Strong product judgment: define scope, prioritize, and ship
• Excellent written communication and ability to explain technical concepts
• Potential to work directly with clients as the team's scope grows

Responsibilities

• Partner with executives and business units to identify workflows where custom agents create leverage
• Translate business problems into clear requirements, scope, and acceptance criteria
• Lead prototypes, validation, hardening, deployment, and rollout to production
• Design agentic systems: retrieval, context, tool integration, orchestration, observability, cost controls
• Develop event-driven, scalable data/document processing architectures
• Collaborate with platform, R&D, and product engineering teams on core systems
• Make engineering trade-offs that balance speed with reliability, security, and maintainability
• Own deployed solutions post-launch and iterate on user feedback
• Produce documentation, train users, and drive adoption across teams/set bar for juniors
