Job summary

Juniper Square is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI Platform team. You will design, build, and operate production systems powering AI-enabled workflows for institutional clients, collaborating closely with Staff engineers, product, design, and QA.

You will contribute to the AI/LLM-powered development lifecycle, drive reliable patterns, and help elevate engineering standards while working across a flexible, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend and/or full-stack software engineering.
• Strong Python backend with FastAPI, Flask, Pyramid, or Django.
• Experience with relational/NoSQL databases, data modeling.
• Cloud-native technologies: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
• Comfort working full-stack when needed (TypeScript/React a plus).
• Hands-on AI-native development with AI tooling and guardrails.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered systems in production.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-evolving technical territory.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production-quality systems, APIs, and services.
• Own projects end-to-end from requirements to deployment and iteration.
• Build reliable, scalable, and observable systems delivering value to customers.
• Own production health including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
• Build reusable infrastructure, tooling, and developer experiences.
• Improve engineering velocity and quality through automation and docs.
• Contribute to technical design and trade-off evaluations.
• Collaborate with product/design/engineering to translate requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and incident response.
• Grow into domain expert with deep understanding of data and workflows.
