Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, LP is seeking an Applications Manager II to manage administration, maintenance, and escalations for assigned applications. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in related IT areas, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong communication and process improvement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years in Application Management, Systems/Analysis, IT Support Management or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years managerial/leadership experience with direct reports.
• Knowledge of UML, Agile, Waterfall development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and enhances standard operating procedures and processes for sustainable architectures.
• Creates new process docs, procedures, and policies with IT and business stakeholders.
• Negotiates and manages vendor and internal relationships across business to support projects.
• Supports other IT teams during escalations and projects.
• Manages release process, testing, and communication for the assigned application platform.
• Facilitates change management, test scripts, communication plans, and rollout/rollback plans.
• Performs administration, maintenance, and updates of application platforms and handles defects and escalations.
