Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a dedicated Resident Manager to oversee a portfolio of single-family homes.

The role focuses on delivering a superior resident experience, resolving service issues, and optimizing tenant retention throughout the lifecycle. The ideal candidate will manage move-ins/outs, coordinate leases, and lead collections strategies while ensuring compliance with state laws and HOA requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business management, or related field preferred.
• Real Estate License and any state licenses required for property management.
• Minimum 3 years of directly related experience in Property Operations/Real Estate/Property Management.
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of single-family homes and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and resolve issues.
• Drive lease renewals and execute new leases within the market.
• Conduct move-out reconciliations, assess damages, and determine charges per state laws.
• Implement collection strategies to minimize evictions and delinquencies.
• Represent the company at eviction hearings and monitor HOA compliance.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and programs.
