Job summary

BECU is seeking a Sr. Manager, Technology – API Platform to lead enterprise APIs and platform capabilities built on .NET in Azure. This role focuses on shaping architecture, roadmaps, and delivery across mobile, web, and partner channels while fostering an agile, collaborative engineering culture.

The role requires strong API design, cloud experience, and a track record of coaching teams. Remote or onsite options are available for eligible locations in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of people leader experience and experience leading technology teams.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience with API-driven or integration-focused architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own Delivery & Execution for API Platform outcomes and align with leadership priorities.
• Align technology with business goals and build strategic roadmaps.
• Identify innovative solutions and lead RFPs, charters, and business cases.
• Develop and coach teams to build a high-performing engineering culture.
• Lead engineering delivery across products and platforms, including secure APIs built in C#/.NET on Azure.
• Champion Agile practices and drive CI/CD and API contract standards.
• Engage in governance, planning, and budgeting for initiatives.
• Oversee vendor partnerships and external collaborations.
