BECU in the United States seeks a Sr. Manager, Technology – API Platform to lead enterprise APIs and platform capabilities across channels. You will develop roadmaps, manage engineering teams, and implement agile practices.

The role requires 3+ years of people leadership and 5+ years of IT experience with API architectures; ERP/financial product experience is valued. Remote options are available for approved locations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of people leader experience. Experience leading technology teams.
• Minimum 5 years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in application design and API driven or integration focused architectures.
• Experience building technology platforms and teams preferably in environments leveraging modern APIs, microservices, cloud native services, or integration frameworks.
• Domain experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Infrastructure/Operations and/or financial products experience (i.e. Credit Card, Mortgage, Auto Loan, Deposits, etc.).

Responsabilidades

• Own delivery and execution for API platform outcomes, aligning with leadership priorities and architecture guardrails.
• Align technology strategies with business goals through roadmaps and cost/benefit analyses.
• Lead market scans for modern tools and capabilities, initiating RFPs and business cases.
• Mentor and coach teams to build a high-performing engineering culture.
• Foster a culture of quality, agility, and continuous learning.
• Lead engineering initiatives and ensure scalable, secure APIs built in C#/.NET on Azure (GraphQL reads, REST writes).
• Embed agile principles with cross-functional partners to streamline processes.
• Advance quality across the software lifecycle: CI/CD, API versioning, error handling, performance.
• Partner with business units to align tech capabilities with strategic priorities.
• Participate in governance forums and contribute to planning cycles.
• Support operational and financial planning for new initiatives.
• Review SOWs and guide external partners to deliver value.
• Promote responsible use of AI-enabled tools to improve productivity.
