Job summary

BECU is seeking a Sr Manager Technology – API Platform to lead the API strategy and delivery across enterprise services. You will manage engineering teams, establish roadmaps, and implement agile practices while ensuring secure, scalable APIs built on Azure with GraphQL and REST patterns.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT with API-driven architectures, ERP/financial domain experience, and strong leadership. This role can be remote with hybrid in WA, ID, TX, CA, GA, SC, NC, VA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS or related field.
Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.
Minimum 5 years IT with API-driven or integration architectures.
Experience with ERP, Infrastructure, and financial products.

Responsibilities

Lead API platform delivery and strategy aligned to leadership priorities.
Manage engineering teams and promote Agile practices.
Oversee API security, design, and lifecycle management.
Collaborate with business units and governance forums.
Oversee budgeting, vendor partnerships, and external collaborations.
