BECU is seeking a Sr. Manager, Technology – API Platform to lead API strategy, deliver enterprise APIs, and guide a high-performing engineering team. The role focuses on scalable, secure APIs built on Azure with GraphQL reads and REST writes, while driving collaboration with business partners and governance processes.

The position emphasizes Agile practices, platform modernization, and strategic planning to align technology with business goals across channels and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of information technology experience with API driven or integration architectures.
• Experience leading technology teams and delivering enterprise APIs.
• Experience with modern API gateways and cloud native services.

Responsabilités

• Own delivery and execution for API platform outcomes; ensure alignment to leadership direction.
• Align technology with business goals; shape roadmaps and cost/benefit analyses.
• Identify innovative solutions; lead RFPs and business cases.
• Develop and coach teams; build a high-performing engineering culture.
• Build high impact teams; foster quality, agility, and continuous learning.
• Manage technical delivery; oversee scalable, secure APIs built in C#/.NET on Azure.
• Champion agile practices; embed agile across product and tech lifecycles.
• Drive engineering best practices; guard API contracts, versioning, error handling, and performance.
• Align roadmaps and outcomes; connect capabilities to strategic priorities.
• Engage in governance and planning; support annual budgeting and initiative reviews.
• Oversee vendor partnerships; review SOWs and guide external teams.
