Job summary

BECU is seeking a Sr. Manager, Technology – API Platform to lead delivery of enterprise APIs and platform capabilities across channels.

You will manage engineering teams, craft technology roadmaps, and drive agile practices to deliver scalable, secure APIs built in C#/.NET on Azure. You will align technology with business goals, shape roadmaps, and evaluate market innovations, while mentoring staff and guiding governance and budgeting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of people leader experience; experience leading technology teams.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience with API‑driven or integration architectures.
• Experience building technology platforms and teams in modern APIs and cloud native environments.
• Domain experience with ERP and/or financial products (e.g., Credit Card, Mortgage).

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and execution for API platform outcomes.
• Align technology with business goals and roadmaps.
• Identify innovative tools and capabilities through market scanning.
• Develop and coach engineering teams toward high performance.
• Lead scalable, secure APIs built in C#/.NET on Azure; GraphQL for reads and REST for writes.
• Champion Agile practices and drive CI/CD and API contract standards.
