Job summary

BECU seeks a Sr. Manager, Technology – API Platform to lead API strategy, deliver enterprise APIs across channels, and drive roadmaps while managing engineering teams. You will implement agile practices and foster a high-performing culture in a modern tech landscape.

You’ll collaborate with business units to align capabilities with strategic priorities, promote responsible AI-enabled tooling, and oversee governance, budgeting, and vendor partnerships as part of a comprehensive technology program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of people leader experience. Experience leading technology teams.
• Minimum 5 years of information technology experience with API-driven or integration architectures.
• Experience building technology platforms and teams with modern APIs, microservices, cloud native services, or integration frameworks.
• Domain experience with ERP and/or Infrastructure/Operations and/or financial products.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and execution for API platform outcomes and align with leadership direction.
• Align technology with business goals and develop roadmaps and business cases.
• Identify innovative solutions, lead market scanning, RFPs, and business cases.
• Develop and coach teams to foster a high‑performing engineering culture.
