Job summary

Valiant Residential, based in Texas, seeks a Lead Maintenance to oversee property upkeep under the Community Manager. You will perform repairs in resident apartments and assist in preparing units for rent (make-ready).

With 2+ years in apartment maintenance or related trades, you’ll handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and preventive maintenance. A high school diploma, EPA certification, basic tools, and a valid license are required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• Strong verbal and written English; Spanish bilingual a plus.
• EPA certification for refrigerants.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations as needed.
• Ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident requests within 24 hours.
• Perform HVAC repairs and basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry tasks.
• Make-ready apartments prior to occupancy.
• Maintain pools and sprinkler systems.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with the manager.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and work orders.
• Assist in inspections and prepare for emergencies.
